Lyrics:

HOTEL GALILEE

Written by Mark Wright

Well it must have been the second night of atonement for my sins

My feet were hardened by the rocks and leathered was my skin

When I caught sight of a commercial as I turned on my TV

For discounts on redemption at the Hotel Galilee

Well I'm a hound dog baby

Just trying to find my way back home

I'm a second hand sinner

I cannot live on bread and wine alone

So I pulled on my pants, jumped in the car and hit Highway 21

There were 20 lanes and 20 more all heading for the Son

Well I had to put the roof up, I was blinded by the light

Which struck me as kind of strange

It was 10.15 at night

Well I'm a hound dog baby

I'm trying to find my way back home

I'm a second hand sinner

I cannot live on bread and wine alone

I missed a turn and I ended up on the wrong side of the tracks

A sign read 'If you've come this far there ain't no turning back'

Then I saw a gypsy woman she was huddled out of sight

She whispered, "Come a little closer son and I'll make you feel alright."

Well then I pulled up to the walls of a place called Jerico

There was light on the horizon that was pulling at my soul

An angel dressed in white said, "Can you show me some ID?"

I said, "I'm looking for redemption at the Hotel Galilee"

Well I'm a hound dog baby

Just trying to get back home

I'm a second hand sinner

I cannot live on bread and wine alone

I finally walked through the gates of where I should have been

I dusted off my dusty coat and got myself a beer

It was three score and ten bucks a night with satellite TV

A bright neon sign said 'Welome to the Hotel Galilee'

Well I'm a hound dog baby

Just trying to get back home

I'm a second hand sinner

I cannot live on bread and wine alone

A man cannot live on bread and wine alone
