Mark Wright is a singer/songwriter from Brighton, England who has been performing in front of live audiences for over 15 years. His music has been described as a cross between Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and Cat Stevens.

April 2007

A showcase for the best in new British musical talent Mark is invited to perform at the annual British Music Week held in Germany and in association with the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

January 2007

Mark's album 'One Way Ticket' released in the UK by Revolver Records/Universal Music.

November 2006

In preparation for the release of the 'One Way Ticket' album Mark embarks on a three week promotional tour in association with Badlands, the Bruce Springsteen fan club for the UK performing to over 2,000 Bruce Springsteen fans across the UK and Ireland.

May 2006

On his second annual tour of the UK folk-music legend Ramblin' Jack Elliott once again invites Mark to join him for his UK/Ireland tour which sees Mark not only supporting Jack but also joining him onstage every night for the encore.

Mark Wright signed to Revolver Records.

March 2005

Mark Wright appears alongside Elvis Costello, Nils Lofgren and Billy Bragg on the Bruce Springsteen covers album 'Light of Day: A Tribute To Bruce Springsteen' performing the song 'Two Hearts'.

February 2005

Over in the UK to receive a lifetime achievement award, folk-music legend Ramblin' Jack Elliott invites Mark to accompany him on his UK/Ireland tour playing to sold-out venues and exposing Mark's music to a new audience.

April 2004

Mark recorded the mini-album 'Sun Studio - April 21st 2004' at the legendary Sun Studio, Memphis Tennessee with the current engineer at Sun Studio, James Lott and his band. Mark released this album independently as 'Sun Studio - April 21st 2004' (2004).

March 2003

Releases self-funded album entitled 'Everything and a Day' containing many songs that will later appear on the Revolver Records release, 'One Way Ticket'

Performance

He has performed extensively throughout the UK, mainland Europe and the United States working with many promoters and building a genuinely international following for his music and spirited live performance. He has also made numerous appearances as an on-air guest performing live in the studio and discussing his musical experiences.
