As well performing I also work part-time as a speech-writer and Parliamentary Assistant to Celia Barlow the Member of Parliament for Hove & Portslade. I have always been apssionate about politics and after being canvassed on my doorstep during the general Election of 2005 I volunteered to help with the campaign.
Fortunately Celia Barlow won her seat and upon winning asked me to join her team. I jumped at the chance and so every week I get to work both in the constituency and at the House of Commons in Westminster.
I've never had a boss before in my life but I can honestly say that Celia is a pleasure to work for and to play such a central role in her team is a privilege.
This picture was taken just prior to the General Election in May 05. Cherie Blair breezed into the Hove Co-Op superstore and her infectious personality immediately put everyone at ease. She has no airs and graces whatsoever. And actually, between you and me, is quite flirtatious!
